The investor that renovated my house used flat paint in both bathrooms which is a no no. Flat paint absorbs moisture which causes mold. I was having to clean off the mold every few months. I finally repainted the master bath (that doesn't have a fan) with satin paint color and no longer have a mold problem as satin paint is resistant to moisture. It's also easy to clean when needed.

as someone who has dealt with mold exposure and its causes I would advice not to do this on dry wall on the shower tiles its fine but mold on the dry wall you can release more mycotoxins and it can make you have allergies and even make someone sick.
